Welcome to Our District

Dayton public schools are the heart of Dayton, Oregon. Dayton School District is located in western Oregon’s Mid-Willamette Valley, between McMinnville and Newberg, and serves approximately 1,000 students in a grade school, junior high, and high school. The school district draws people into the community who want a strong educational system with a rural sense of caring and teamwork.

Dear Dayton Families, May 11, 2022

Another school year is coming to a close. This year has seen a return to in-person learning all year and a move away from mandates. It has been good to see our students fully again and having them participate in traditions. We continue to monitor for outbreaks of illness as we always have.

Otro año escolar está llegando a su fin. Este año ha visto un regreso al aprendizaje en persona durante todo el año y un alejamiento de los mandatos. Ha sido bueno ver a nuestros estudiantes completamente nuevamente y que participen en las tradiciones. Continuamos monitoreando los brotes de enfermedades como siempre lo hemos hecho.

Curriculum Adoption Updates:

The K-5 ELA (English Langauge Arts), ELL (English Langauge Learner), and ELP (English Langauge Proficiency) 2022 Curriculum Adoption Materials will be on display in room 15 at the Dayton Grade School from March 30th-April 8th. The 6-12 ELA, ELL and ELP Curriculum Adoption Materials will be on display at the Dayton High School Conference room from March 30-April 8th. Also in the conference room at the high school, the proposed 6-12 social studies curriculum adoption materials will be on display.
