Welcome To Our District

Dayton public schools are the heart of Dayton, Oregon.  Dayton School District is located in western Oregon’s Mid-Willamette Valley, between McMinnville and Newberg, and serves approximately 1,000 students in a grade school, junior high, and high school.  The school district draws people into the community who want a strong educational system with a rural sense of caring and teamwork.

School Board Vacancy 

  The Dayton School Board announces a board vacancy and procedure for application by interested residents.  In order to apply for the vacancy the interested resident must be a legally registered voter and must have been a resident within the District for one year immediately preceding the appointment.  The applicant must fill out an application form that is linked to the District web site, or that can be picked up or sent from the District Office.  Applications must be received by January 10, 2020, at 3:00 PM.
 Applicants will be asked to attend the January 14, 2020 Board Meeting to give a brief presentation.  A decision and appointment will be made at the Board meeting on January 14, 2020.  The School Board appointment will be to fill the remainder of the term vacated by Raylinda Price.  The term of the appointment is from date of appointment through June 30, 2021.
